Questions and Answers
Last Call is an alcohol delivery platform based in California. We connect customers with local liquor stores, wine shops, and craft beer retailers. Customers order through our app, and shop-employed drivers deliver directly to their door. Unlike gig-economy platforms, our drivers are employed by the shops themselves, ensuring better accountability and service quality.
Last Call is currently available in California. We are building strong partnerships with local shops and ensuring a great experience as we expand across the state. Delivery availability depends on the delivery zones set by each partner shop.
Last Call donates 6% of every order subtotal to organizations focused on DUI prevention, alcohol awareness, and homeless support. This is built into our business model and does not add extra cost to the customer. It is not an optional add-on; every single order automatically contributes. You can see the charity contribution amount on your order receipt.
Yes, you must be 21 years of age or older to create an account and place orders on Last Call. This is required by California law for the purchase and delivery of alcoholic beverages. We verify your age through a multi-step process that includes uploading a photo of your government-issued ID, taking a live selfie, and a physical ID check by the driver at delivery.
Safety is our top priority. We use a triple-layer verification system: (1) customers upload a government-issued ID photo during checkout, (2) customers take a live selfie that is matched against their ID, and (3) the delivery driver verifies the customer's physical ID at the door before handing over the order. Drivers also receive responsible service training and have the right and obligation to refuse delivery if there are any concerns.
Availability depends on the operating hours of local shops in your area. Each shop sets its own delivery hours through the app, and these must comply with California ABC regulations governing alcohol sales hours. You can browse shops and check their current availability at any time.
